Many CCTV installers are still using analogue or lower quality 720P (1.3MP) / 1080P (2MP) HD CCTV equipment, the picture quality can be very poor; you might not be able to make out faces or license plates. In court, this evidence maybe inadmissible due to the lack of definition in the image. Why spend all that money installing a CCTV system if the footage is not of an acceptable quality to be used as evidence?
